Missão Contra a Lepra Moçambique is recruiting a Programme Funding and Sustainability Officer, to be based in Nampula, Mozambique.

  • About the Role: The Leprosy Mission Mozambique (TLMM), known as Missão Contra a Lepra Moçambique, is seeking a Programme Funding and Sustainability Officer to drive the development and implementation of fundraising, communication, and advocacy strategies. This key role will raise the profile of TLM Mozambique, secure diverse funding sources, and establish strategic partnerships to ensure long-term sustainability
  • As part of the senior management team, the Programme Funding and Sustainability Officer will engage with donors, government agencies, media outlets, and other stakeholders, both locally and internationally. The Officer will support TLMM’s mission and raise awareness about leprosy, advocating for increased support and reducing stigma
Duties
  • Fundraising Strategy: Lead the development of fundraising strategies, identify new opportunities, and engage with potential donors
  • Visibility & Communication: Develop and execute communication campaigns, create impactful content, and maintain TLMM's digital presence
  • Advocacy & Awareness: Lead campaigns to reduce stigma and raise understanding of leprosy, collaborating with media outlets
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build strategic relationships with donors, government bodies, and international partners
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report on fundraising outcomes, ensuring all donor reports and communications are effective
  • Budget Management: Oversee the budget for communication and fundraising activities, managing expenses effectively
  • Program Documentation & Learning: Document successes and lessons learned to improve strategies and share insights with stakeholders
Requisites
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, international development, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience: At least 3 years in fundraising, communications, or a related field. Experience in international donor engagement is a plus
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, strategic thinking, project management, and stakeholder engagement
  • Personal Qualities: Motivated, results-driven, creative thinker, and strong interpersonal skills. Adaptable and able to work in dynamic environments
