Senior Associate – Access to Finance

Building Markets is recruiting a Senior Associate – Access to Finance, to be based in Nampula.

Duties

• Manage credit advisory services to SMEs across Mozambique that may need assistance in gaining access to credit from local banks
• This includes structuring loan facilities, preparation of credit motivations to banks, liaising with those banks throughout the credit approval process, negotiating terms with banks on behalf of SMEs and providing pre- and post-disbursement support to those SMEs
• The role also includes providing mentoring services to participating SMEs

Requisites

• Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences or related field
• 3 to 5 years in a banking environment, specifically in a busy Credit department
• Relationship management, credit analysis, financial analysis, credit guarantee instruments, understanding of risk, attention to detail, good communication skills (spoken and written), self-starter, operational excellence, customer focus
