Drivers

The U.S. Embassy in Maputo is seeking Drivers to be based in Maputo.

Duties

• Operates a passenger vehicle to transport agency personnel and/or Embassy visitors around the city
• Drives in accordance with Embassy dispatcher’s instructions
• Required to work as part of a duty rotation that includes evening, night and weekend shifts
• Expected to serve as an expeditor as required

Requisites

• Completion of Secondary School
• Three years of chauffeur experience
• Level III (good working knowledge) English is required
• Level III (good working knowledge) Portuguese is required
• Familiarity with local laws and area traffic patterns is required
• Possession of local driver’s license is required
• A pleasant demeanor in dealing with Embassy officials, VIPs and other passengers is required
