Factory Manager

Universal Plastics is hiring a Factory Manager for Tchumeni, Maputo Province.

Duties

• Report to the General Manager
• Liaise with Maintenance, Engineer and Manager to ensure alignment of production plans and schedules with operational requirements, targets and budgets
• Manage Submanagerss of the production sub functions and ensure their areas deliver against KPI's related to production objectives for the operation
• Work together with the Finance function to monitor the production costs of the operation and the preparation of budgets thereof
• Spend appropriate time in the field and support the Production Superintendents in ensuring critical controls for material risks are in place, effective and make sure standards and specifications are adhered to
• Manage, engage and coach the production execution team to deliver against performance targets
• Positively influence and shape the culture of your area to ensure a safe, sustainable and disciplined approach to work as well as work along with HR for execution of related business process like talent management, succession planning
• Provide leadership, expertise, direction to the production function within a safe operation and continuous improvement to its production processes and equipment
• Lead your team by driving collaboration across the various functions, plans and strategies by achieving performance targets and being cost effective

Requisites

• English Speaking
• Previous experience in Factory/ Industrial sector
• Computer Literate
