Signalling Engineer

Capital Outsourcing is recruiting a Signalling Engineer, to be based in Nampula.

Duties

• Lead design and commissioning of transit/rail signal engineering projects
• Perform design calculations, including safe braking and power draw
• Cost estimates for signal material, cable, conduit
• Developing complex interlocking circuits
• Detailing of signal circuits
• Check calculations and drawings
• Write detailed technical descriptions for signal system requirements
• Develop estimates of engineering hours and costs for proposals
• Plan design work into specific measurable packages
• Organize scheduling of specific tasks and assignments and monitor completion
• Programming of vital and/or non-vital processors
• Participate in factory and field testing of signal systems

Requisites

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Computer Science
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the fiel
• Previous experience in rail signal engineering projects
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical
• An understanding of health and safety requirements of a working environment
• Good English written skill
• Ability to coach, mentor and build effective engineering teams
