Broker Assistant

MRA Mozambique

MRA Mozambique is recruiting a Broker Assistant, to be based in Maputo.

Duties
  • To maintain records to facilitate the administration processing of customer debit notes, premium receipting, the preparation of supplier bordereaux as well as claim registration and maintenance
  • To build and develop relationships with clients, suppliers and service providers
  • To provide management with daily service support on the existing book of business within the company and to plan and participate, where required, on the renewal programs during the normal course of the business agenda
  • To assist with the selection and sourcing of new clients with the ultimate object of managing a book of business as the designated underwriter
Requisites
  • Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software
    Insurance industry experience with knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems, including filing and record keeping
  • Proven experience within the local insurance industry with reliable references in support of the minimum skills and personal attributes required. Direct underwriting experience an added advantage
  • Communication skills – written and verbal in both Portuguese and English
  • Planning and organising - to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Time management skills, flexibility and ability to multi task
  • Information gathering, assessment and problem solving with attention to detail
  • Customer service orientation
  • Valid driver’s licences and own transport would be the preferred option
